These efforts simultaneously advance biodiversity, climate resilience, and food security. Success depends on farmers, producers, and consumers. FAO and UN Biodiversity remain committed to supporting countries in translating global commitments into tangible action.

Tunisian farmers face significant annual losses from increasing climate hazards. To address this, the FAO, under the National Adaptation Plan (PNA), is bolstering Tunisia's FIDAC fund. This vital national mechanism compensates farmers for natural disaster damages and builds resilience.

To ensure transparency and efficiency, regional committees received comprehensive training. This enhanced their skills in damage assessment and farmer support, enabling fair and reliable compensation. The strengthened FIDAC now better protects Tunisian farmers from the growing impacts of climate change.
